mailing helps preserve the scenic beauty of the
Hamptons.
A grotesque 360-foot high communications tower that
would have loomed 53 stories above sea level in Water
Mill, ruining the scenic beauty in the surrounding
area of the South Fork, was scheduled for
construction. M&M was retained to rally public
support against the menacing tower. Through direct
mail, we collected over 4,000 signatures of residents
opposed to the tower. Consequently, the Southampton
Town Board denied the Tower a construction permit. The
leader of the opposition to the tower called M&M's
petition drive the turning point in the campaign.
